The 2nd year of virtual classes started with ease and confidence on the part of teachers and students. It sailed by smoothly with an array of activities engulfed with the academics. This academic year we have tried to incorporate not just the competitions and pedagogical activities but also festival celebrations so as to give the students a holistic feel of the school experience. Competitions and celebrations are equally important as academic activities.
The Joy of Giving week celebrated during the 1st week of October had set up a perfect tempo for the coming events. It was followed by Navratri celebration wherein not just the students and teachers but also family members participated in the Dandiya Raas adding to the festivity amidst this lockdown. The Diya painting activity conducted by the Art department along with the fruit salad activity by the class teacher imbibed the concept of healthy Diwali celebration.
The enthusiasm of students during the story telling activity was clearly visible through the varied aids and props used by them for the same. The efforts taken by the students and parents for the Art Integration Project and Virtual Annual day presentation is commendable. The festivity of Christmas was multiplied by the Santa’s surprise visit during the online classes followed by the Annual day presentation. It was an enthralling experience to watch the culmination of our efforts together as a family comprising of teachers, students and parents.
The pandemic might have slowed us down a bit, but I am sure together as a team of students, parents and teachers we will gain our momentum and thrive amidst all the chaos.
