Clay MouldingYou can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have”. PPSH believes in learning by doing. A child learns better through creativity. Keeping this in mind virtual ‘Clay moulding’ activity for grade Nursery to Sr.KG students was organized during their online classes. Clay craft is a fun and interesting way to nurture a child's creativity, boost imagination, and to imbibe self-confidence.Teachers guided the students to make different objects related to academics with clay. They pounded, squeezed, rolled and blended the clay to make some unique and amazing objects like fish, roses, snowman, bird,,, butterfly etc. and showcased them virtually with pride.. This outstanding sensory activity enhanced their gross and fine motor skills, eye-hand coordination, colour recognition and helped to boost the self-confidence of the students. The finished product at hand was a treasure to cherish for the young ones. The activity was indeed a great way to develop imagination and sparkle creativity to think out of the box!

English Rhyme Recitation
Rhymes help children to experience the rhythm of a language. As they recite nursery rhymes, they learn to speak with voice modulation, expressions, confidence, and actions. Rhymes also prove handy in engaging kids which is an essential component to keep them happy and cheerful. Our school PPSH aiming to provide an opportunity and platform to the budding poets of the pre-primary (Nursery) organized rhyme recitation activity that engaged the tiny tots in an understanding of rhythmical creation of words and phrases. They were given appreciations on rubrics like voice modulation, clarity of speech, choice of props and their use, actions and expressions, selection of rhyme, etc.

Fancy Dress
Fancy dress is of great benefit to children especially for toddlers and preschoolers and for children who are in the foundation years for building their imagination and vocabulary. Fancy dress play also encourages children to express their point of view of the world around them. It helps build both large and fine motor skills, decision making skills, encourages empathy and assists in the overall emotional development of children. This year being no exception, regardless of the limitations brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Nursery section of PPSH virtually conducted a fancy dress activity, the theme being. My favourite Cartoon character in view of the numerous benefits of fancy dress play.
